The Olympique Lyonnais custodian has been in the North London club’s wish-list for quite some time and has agreed to start negotiating terms with Andre Villas-Boas’ side
Almost a week back, Le Progress claimed that Tottenham Hotspur offered http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hugo-Lloris-c16408. The Rhone journal’s revelations caused a storm in the province.
However, Lyon president, Jean-Michel Aulas restored order by saying that whichever club wants to buy their custodian, will have to pay 20 million euros upfront.
Aulas rates Lloris as an equal to the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-de-Gea-c10463 and feels that it is only fair for his club to ask for such an amount for a player who has been one of the best performers for Les Gones in the past couple of seasons.
L’Equipe now claims that Lloris also finds the prospect of playing for Spurs an alluring one and is keen to start working under the guidance of Andre-Villas Boas who was recently appointed as the club’s new manager.
Reports further claim that if personal terms are agreed and if the English and French leaders are able to find common ground, Lloris would be more than willing to defend the colours of Spurs next season. Though Tottenham play in the Europa League next season,
the project under AVB seems attractive enough to Lloris, who has always dreamt of a move to the English Premier League.
L’Equipe now claims that Lloris has agreed to send his entourage to London in order to discuss terms of a transfer to White Hart Lane. This news also leaves a bitter taste in the mouth of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 manager Arsene Wenger.
Wenger was also keeping tabs on the 25-year-old and it seems that he might see another target opt for a different club.
Jean-Michel Aulas is aware of Lloris’ wishes and has already said that he will never block a move for his player as he understands that playing in a big European club would be a forward step in Lloris’ career.
However, Lloris is on a vacation at Nice at the moment and has said that he will be making a final decision after he comes back from holidays.
"I want all this to be settled before July 15, the date I come back from vacation in Nice," said the player thus indicating that there will be no transfer saga regarding his future.
