Hugo Lloris is in confident mood ahead of England encounter and believes that the timing is perfect for France to enter in a tournament like Euros as Les Bleus are in splendid form.
France are entering in the tournament on the back of a 21-game unbeaten run. This has given France a massive confidence boost ahead of their first match of the tournament and Les Bleus captain has claimed his team’s chances are very bright.
"The Euros have come at just the right time for France. We are improving step-by-step and we are conscious that we can achieve something good."
However, despite being labelled as favourites against the Three Lions, the Lyon goalkeeper has refused to get carried away and has stressed that France are solely focusing on their first match and they do not consider themselves as the favourites.
“We have our feet on the ground and we are thinking about our debut, which is the most important match for us in recent times."
According to Lloris, there won’t be any clear favourites as both France and England are more than capable teams and have the experience and ability to perform on this stage. The 25-year-old has particularly pointed out England’s defensive style as a threat
to Les Bleus and with the change in the Three Lion’s managerial position, facing them will be even tougher.
"England won't be an easy rival. With the change of coach, they have changed their system and it's normal they should play on the counter. That will give us even more problems,"
