Hulk Hogan: 'The Macho Man' Randy Savage should be in WWE Hall of Fame – Wrestling news
The legendary Hulk Hogan, in a recent interview, averred that ‘The Macho Man’ Randy Savage should be included in WWE’s Hall of Fame.
Hulk Hogan, who is currently a TNA star, further said that Randy Savage gave fans more than they could want and so he deserves a place in WWE’s Hall of Fame.
Terry Gene Bollea, Hulk Hogan was being interviewed by the UK Talk Sport. The 12-time world heavyweight champion was being asked about the stars and their performances in TNA.
The Hall of Famer said, “We've got a kid that's been around for a while named A.J. Styles, which is on fire. They call him the Phenomenal One. He's got a brilliant future. We've got another kid, Jeff Hardy, that's already there. He's rocking and rolling.”
Hogan, who himself was inducted in the Hall of Fame of WWE in 2005, further added, “And my old partner, who I never dreamed would have so much gas in the tank, Sting. Sting's on fire. I have no idea when he's going to quit. He's lighting the whole world
up again. We've got some really great guys.”
Randy Mario Poffo, Randy Savage a.k.a. The Macho Man passed last year on May 20, 2011. Acknowledging his contributions to the World Wrestling Federation, now World Wrestling Entertainment, the WWE regarded him as the best heavyweight champion of all times,
saying that he brought calibre and credibility through his high level performances in the WWE.
Savage was known for his aggressive style and his sturdy build. He faced top of the line wrestlers such as Hulk Hogan, the Undertaker, Ric Flair and the Ultimate Warrior back in the days. Some critics back then were even of the view that the Ultimate Warrior’s
aggressive persona was inspired by Savage’s Macho Man persona. Savage’s legacy still remains in the WWE and he is well respected and acknowledged for his achievements and establishments by the current WWE assembly.
On the other hand, Hulk Hogan is considered to be the best of all times. He is regarded as the man who made the WWE what it is now.
However, due to his rifts with the then CEO Vince McMahon, Hulk Hogan moved to TNA. As of now, the Hollywood Hogan is a part of TNA’s bandwagon and vows to be there until his fighting days are over.
