According to his agent, Hulk’s €100 million buyout clause is not an exaggeration, it's a true reflection of the Selecao International’s talents.
From plying his trade in mediocrities of the Japanese league to becoming one of the most coveted players in Europe, things have changed radically in the career of Hulk since his move from Tokyo Verdy to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 in 2008.
Although an unknown talent when he first arrived at Estadio do Dragao, the Brazilian now finds himself in the centre of the biggest and most expensive transfer saga in the history of football.
With the Portistas, Hulk has slowly but surely cemented his place in the bracket of elite players and his scoring record is self-explanatory. As if 67 goals in 150 appearances were not enough, the 25-year-old also boasts a hugely impressive tally of 50 assists to his name.
After the departure of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kawasaki-Frontale-c39683 man was expected to suffer in the attacking department but that has not been the case.
Contrary to that, Hulk has succeeded in garnering the attention of European giants such as Chelsea, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, Paris Saint-Germain and Anzhi Makhachkala with his displays this term.
The Russian giants, Anzhi, even had a €87 million bid rejected by the Portistas during the summer but that hasn’t quelled their interest in the talented front-man. Recently, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Canaries-c38723 star but so far nothing concrete has been revealed by both clubs.
With his potential, Hulk should be playing for a top club and challenging for honours at the highest level. However, the €100 million buyout clause placed on his services by FC Porto has prevented him from leaving http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984.
The outrageous amount has been a major stumbling block in all potential transfers and many have claimed that the player doesn’t even warrant such massive spending to secure his signature.
However Hulk’s agent doesn’t agree with that notion and said that if clubs in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/China-c8926 were paying €10 to €20 million in wages to mediocre players, then his client would definitely be worth €100 million.
“Hulk is one of the best players in the world. Chinese and Russian clubs already pay €10 million and €20 million in wages per season. Therefore, I cannot say that a clause of €100 million is exaggerated.”
He also added that while several teams on the continent were keeping tabs on the forward, Hulk is happy in his current surroundings and would only agree to a move if all the concerned parties benefit from it.
“The big clubs in Europe see him with good eyes and nothing is impossible in football. He is a quiet person, hardworking and a thorough professional. If it ever comes down to a transfer, it must be viewed with ease. He will only leave if all parties are satisfied,” Teodoro http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fonseca-c13888 was quoted as saying.
With nearly every side in European football looking to acquire him, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hulk-c16436 is likely to be sold in the future whenever a cash-rich club breaks the transfer record and splashes out €100 million to land his services.
