The Brazilian striker has ruled out leaving the Russian Premier League club anytime sooner, insisting that the situation at Zenit St. Petersburg is getting better
Zenit St. Petersburg striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hulk-c16436, has confirmed that there is no misunderstanding between him and Luciano Spalletti and expressed his eagerness to write his name in the history of the club.
News in Russian media suggested Hulk, who moved to the Russian Premier League club for a record 60 million Euro fee from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186, to change his current club barely four months after falling out with Spalletti.
The player made life difficult for him after refusing to shake hands with the manager after being substituted in Zenit’s 1-0 win in the last group stage match of the UEFA Champions League against AC Milan at San Siro earlier this
month.
Hulk uttered some harsh words for the coach and team-mates after being replaced on the 80th minute. The Brazilian made it clear in his post-match interview that he will leave Zenit in January should he fail to find peace
in the Russian dugout.
However, the player has now confirmed that he is not likely to leave Petrovsky stadium until the end of his current contract after discussing issues with the manager.
"What happened between me and Spalletti was pure misunderstanding. When the team is struggling, it is common to expect differences between a player and a coach. After talking to him I noticed that our vision is somewhat similar
as we both want to achieve best results.”
"I want to apologize. Every footballer wants to spend as much time on the field but as I said, the conflict has now been resolved.”
“I always wanted to live in Europe. It is good for my kids to experience something different. I think they will get an opportunity to learn new things here.” The 26-year-old striker was quoted as saying.
The former Tokyo Verdy player said that he intends to write his name in the history of the St. Petersburg club after helping the Russian outfit clinch their consecutive third league title under the supervision of the Italian tactician.
