Chelsea have been linked with the 25-year-old versatile winger for some years now, something which was only strengthened with the arrival of Andre Villas-Boas as the manager at the club. The Portuguese manager is set to bring the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 international with
him at Stamford Bridge.
However, one thing stands in Villas-Boas’ way of signing Hulk in the summer transfer window; the 83 million pounds buyout clause. Especially after the Blues spent 50 million pounds on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 in the previous January transfer window, it seems highly
unlikely that they will be looking to spend that much on a player.
Unfortunately for the Blues, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 striker has failed to perform since arriving at the Bridge. It is rumoured that the London side are looking to sell Torres and bring in Hulk, who is expected to perform better than the Spaniard.

Hulk’s agent, Teodoro Fonseca, revealed he felt his client was amongst the best players in the world and his huge buyout clause was justified. With Europe’s elite interested, he believed the club who wanted to buy Hulk would have to pay the expected amount.

“Hulk is one of the best players in the world and he is being followed by big clubs in Europe.
One hundred million euros is not such a high figure. Every European club knows that the money spent on him would be compensated by his talent.”
Fonseca did not feel the expected amount was asking too much since there were plenty of clubs giving away huge sums of money to players who deserved it. He went on to mentioned Chinese and Russian clubs who were paying huge sums to their players.
He continued:
“A Chinese club is already paying £8.4m per annum to an athlete and some Russian clubs are already paying £16.8m.”
