Hull KR coach Craig Sandercock takes up Constantine Mike - Rugby League

The new Hull KR coach, Craig Sandercock, has confirmed the uptake of back row forward, Constantine Mike, from his long-time franchise, Newscastle, on Thursday, October 27. This is the first step Rovers’ new coach taken after he took up the responsibilities
of his new position.
Mike has agreed to a two-year deal with Robins and was rumoured to join Castlefords until he was extended an order at Sandercock, which will bind him for two years to Craven Park.
While speaking about Mike’s exceptional skills, Sandercock said,"Con played for the junior Kiwis and made his debut for the Newcastle Knights as a 19-year-old. He is still only 22 and has his best footy in front of him. Although he is a back rower, he is
a very skilful player and when you get tackled by him you certainly know about it. I'm sure the Rovers supporters will really appreciate what Con will bring to our team going forward."
Mika is going to be Robins’ sixth uptake for the upcoming year 2012, who is due to join in with Ryan O'Hara, Mickey Paea, Graeme Horne, Keal Carlile and Lincoln Withers next month for the start of pre-season training.
The player who is all set to join in the back row squad at Craven Park, is considered a valuable addition to the squad. About his exceptional on-field skills, even the coach is willing to authenticate his unmatched ability. The coach stressed further that
this change will further harness complete support of all players.

He also confirmed that the latest uptake will hopefully replace the void left by Clint Newton for the next season lined up. Rover’s coach is expecting a great deal from the latest recruit, who is expected to prove his mettle in rugby league.
While talking about Mike, the coach further added, “He only played twice last season as problems with his back and knee kept him out. Then when he got back to full fitness, Newcastle were playing well and kept with the same players.”
Con was finding it really difficult to be part of the team after his recent injury-prone year but the coach explained that he had no issues with his last year’s injury because the player’s ability to exhibit his on-field brilliance.
