Hull KR half-back Blake Green loses one-match ban appeal: Rugby News

Blake Green of Hull KR has lost his appeal against a single-match ban, which was announced this week by the Rugby Football League (RFL) along with a fine of £300 for a Grade A dangerous throw on Jamie Foster of St. Helens at Craven Park
during last Sunday's Super League victory of 24-22 against Saints.
Green, who was found guilty of the charge, had contested against the degree of punishment, but despite the appeal coming from the Hull KR half-back, the decision of RFL was not reversed or minimised.
There is also £200 appeal bond received from Green as he is also missing out on a trip by their franchise against the Catalan Dragons Perpignan on Saturday.
Green’s records reveal that he has so far left only one game out of this season’s Super League before he was written off for another fixture, as per the match review panel decision which had ousted Green from one match.
Green, along with Michael Dobson, has extended their stay with the Rovers for the upcoming three seasons. With the extension of their stay at the Craven Parks, the duo will be part of the Rovers until 2014.
Dobson and Green both have put to rest the speculations which were gaining momentum as both players were inching nearer to the expiration of their current contract, which was to expire by the end of 2012.
Dobson who was expected to return to the National Rugby League (NRL) games, was happy with the new deal inked by him. While speaking about the latest developments, Dobson stated, "It's really good to get it all sorted out and there's been a bit of speculation
but I'm really happy to have sorted it out and I'm really happy in Hull. Hopefully we're challenging and winning a bit of silverware."
Green considers that representation in the first-grade games has been a huge contributing factor in his extension of contract decision with Rovers. He wants to make the most of this opportunity.
While speaking about this opportunity, Green stated, "I'm very happy to get it sorted and very happy to be staying alongside Dobbo for the next few years.”
