  1. I would say that I regard the Royal Family as important. I like the tradition involved, and whilst I belive arguments that they are a burden upon the tax-payer are nonsense (if we can afford to spend God-only-knows-how-many billions upon the war in Iraq, then I think that there is a lot of things in this country that we can fund), I would advocate reducing the civil list to including only the monarch. For those who believe in a Presidency, saying that we should have a choice in who the head of state is, is there really going to be much of a choice? The only candidates we would get would be the likes of Boris Johnson or an outside chance of George Galloway. It seems to me the choice would be that of the lesser evil.

I do not believe that the Royal Family had Diana killed. I believe that it was merely an accident, and certain people (Mohammed Al Fayed and the Daily Express) should get over it.

As to claims that the Royal Family are Germans. Rubbish. The last German monarch was George II back in the 18th century. Every monarch since then has been born and raised in Britain.

  2. The Royal Family is unimportant to me. They're born into wealth, which I have always believed to be wrong. As I don't know them personally, I can't say that I hate them, but I do think it's mightily unfair that they should be set for life when the rest of us have to work for a living.

And no, I don't think they killed Diana. I think that's a little extreme.

  3. A form of brining tourists into the country and tourists = Money

  4. I regard myself as a moderate royalist.  Given the choice, I would on the whole rather have a monarch than an elected head of state.  It wouldn't be the end of the world for me if the moanrch was replaced by an elected head of state, but I would feel sad, and as if a signifciant part of english history had ended.  I admire the Queen for her devotion to duty and the fact that nothing ever seems to ruffle her, she has great sang froid.  I am not a particular admirer of Prince Charles, but better him than some undistinguished President (bearing in mind that a President in england would have apurely ceremonial role rather than a political one).

I suppose to me the royal family means a continuity in British history, something that has always been there.  And the royal family have always been a source of inspiration to the people.  Consider how cheered everyone was when Kin g George VI and his family stayed in London during the war, instead of scurryin goff to the relative safety of the country.  There was a song abou t*t "The King is still in London".

As for the royal family being German, well certainly they have German ancestors, but what of it?  They have been British  for several generations now, and the Queen Mother was Scottish.  And if you go far enough back most of us have mixed ancestry.

  5. Not important, ask rocky if they killed her.you will find him here. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Je5EtZmtWec

  6. They symbolise wealth and prestige and Britishness.

  7. History, pride, tradittion, dedication to duty, self responsibility, continuity of culture, loads of things which are becoming more and more rare in society today !!

On a purely financial argument, they bring in far more tourist revenue into the UK each year than they have ever received back from the state.

No - they didn't kill Diana, though with the past ten years of accusations and hand wringing from the "anti royals" - I'm sure they wish they had !!

  8. Better than having a dictator I suppose

  9. Totally unimportant .to me, and most people in Great Britain.they only got where they are today because their early relations were bigger villains than my family and yours I am proud to be English and a true out and out Yorkshireman.

  10. abso fakkin lutely nuffin

    spongin whinin poncing **** tards

  11. No, the Royal Family did not kill Diana, Princess of Wales.  It was an accident, there was never any plot to do away with her.

    best of luck to you!

  12. Why do you want to know?

  13. They are nothing but bloodsucking parasites

  14. Not much...they are German..nothing against Germans...but Princess Diana was more English than them...and why did they change their name to Windsor?  I know the war..and sensitivity and all that..but we know they are German!!

  15. Not a whole lot.

  16. Nothing, they are the ultimate benefit cheats. The London clubs that the princes frequent are the height of opulent £20 cocktails. Even according to their own press statements, it is usual for them to spend £2000 a night in these places.

I genuinly believe that Harry wanted to go to Iraq to fight for his country and he should not have accepted his being prevented from doing so, He is to blame for accepting a military wage without any chance of going to war. The young princes play at solders to amuse themselfs in a vain attempt to justify their pointless lives.

The queen has a massive property portfolio, she ownes great swaithes of New York and London yet we still pay her a wage from tax payers money. The argument that Royalists use to justify this is that she brings in millions in tourist money from the Americans but surely they would still come if she paid her own way. In fact if we put them against the wall, more Americans would come to see where the Royall family used to live out of goulish curiosity.

We endure serious povery, a struggling health system and lack of housing in this country while they live a life of unbeliveable indulgance, eating from gold plates (lierally, really !!) , servants catering for their every whim and the best health care money can buy. Its no accident that the Royall family have a history of longevity.

They will be the first against the wall when the revolution comes (mind you, you should watch out because Bush and his kind will be second !!)

  17. They don't matter to me at all.

No, they did not kill Diana. It was an accident.

  18. they got one hand in every brit's pocket and the other hand over every brit's mouth. Tough for the brits in that situation to get a plebisite or national referendum to show the world how they think of these leeches

  19. Royal family?they mean absolutely nothing to me!

  20. Visit London Stef, and savour the "pomp and ceremony" of England's history. We are a proud nation, even though our island is small. Have a pleasant day.

  21. absolutely nothing

  22. The royal family now are just a tourist gimmick, as the real power in this country is wielded by the prime minister, I would absolutely laugh my self silly if the queen made the right choice in Britain and moved of dissolve parliament, in favour of regal rule for a short period, to correct the systems that have destroyed the heart of our nation!!!
