Human Resorces question: The job was posted on july 28th and the starting date required is Aug 18th

I just submitted my resume on Aug 8th, Is it too late ?

There are only two ways for it to be consider "late". One is that the company has already hired someone for the position and the second is if there was a deadline for submissions (you didn't mention if there was).

As long as the position is still unfilled then there should be no problem by you submitting it on the 8th. There is still time for them to review your resume and interview you before the projected start date. The company's flexibility on the start date would vary depending on why they're hiring - if the person in that position is being promoted there may be a chance of flexibility. If the person is leaving the company and only has a certain number of days to train or the position is vacant then the flexibility may not be there.

Are you prepared to start on the 18th if need be? If you are granted an interview it's question you will likely be asked so be prepared.
