    Good organization and follow-through, oral and written communication, good computer skills, leadership

    To be an HR manager you will need at least a college degree - but most positions now require a Master's degree, especially if you have limited work experience.

    Salary will vary according to company size and the value the company puts on the HR function.  Could be anywhere from 50K-80K for a manager level, 80K-200K for a director level, and 150-250K for a VP level position (not including bonuses)

    Work benefits are the tangibles such as salary and benefits, usually a nice working environment.  The intangibles are that you will be providing service to many levels of employees from the lowest to highest levels of the company, setting company policy, and assuring a high level of employee morale.
