What role does human resources play in the hospital? Can they lower my hospital bill? The reason I asked is because i was hospitalized and they was suppose to bill my medicaid. Then come to find out the hospital has to file a claim through out-of-state medicaid and they refuse to enroll in out-of-state medicaid. will human resources be a reliable source?

  1. No.

That branch deals with hiring and firing employees for the facility.

You could re-post this question in the section for Law & Ethics.  There, you could have people who know more than those of us who answer questions about insurance.

Your lead in the question could be, "Hospital bill question: xxxxxx ".   With those three words up front, the people who open your question will know, in advance, what you need.  Starting with Human Resources means that most people with the knowledge about billing will not open your question.

I would contact your hospital, mentioning your concerns, and ask for guidance.

In the meantime, please re-post in a section of Y!A that has knowledgeable people ready to answer your question.

    Fair enough?
