after the earthquake, smog so bad it's far above acceptable target levels even for developing countries - but hey - let's all have a lovely big party over at their's.......

Much as I'm all for the Olympics being a catalyst for world integration and free from politics - whoever thought China was a place to hold them was misguided to say the least. Agree/disagree?

  2. I agree with your sentiments strongly.

    If politics and sport are (or ought to be) separate issues, why did the IOC insist on, and the Chinese government agree to, improvements in their human rights? Promises which have not been kept, as highlighted by Amnesty International and others who have found the situation to be worse rather than better.
