  1. It's long infrared.  The Celsius temperature is 37, which in Kelvin is 310, and you can use Boltzmann's constant (1.38E-23 joules/Kelvin), Planck's constant (6.626E-34 joule-seconds), and the speed of light (3E8 meters/second) to work out the exact number.

    Since our body temperature is about 98.6 as you said, anything that has a temperature above absolute zero emits photons(light). You can only see other people when there is light to reflect off of them.  We do not glow in the dark in visible light, only in the IR!
