  1. Red-green colorblindness is when a person can't distinguish between red and green. It is caused by a recessive gene on the X chromosome.

    Other examples may include:

Autosomal dominant diseases = example: Huntington's Disease

Autosomal recessive diseases = examples: Sickle cell Anemia, Cystic fibrosis, Tay-Sachs disease, and Phenylketonuria.

s*x-linked diseases = examples: Hemophilia (types A and B) and Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Polygenic disorders = examples: heart disease, diabetes, stroke, hypertension, cancer, and most forms of mental illness.

Chromosome abnormalities and disease = example: Down syndrome.

  2. There are two types of inherited disorder:

    1. Single gene disorders

    1.1 Autosomal dominant

    1.2 Autosomal recessive

    1.3 X-linked dominant

    1.4 X-linked recessive

    1.5 Y-linked

    1.6 Mitochondrial

    2. Multifactorial and polygenic disorders

Go to wikipedia, and have a read on it, in each, there is an example you can see.
