  1. The absence of "anything."  That's nothing.  :)

  2. by nothing do u mean a lack of substance or the concept of "nothing"

because in outer space there is vast nothingness. space is a vacume. around planets and starts there is substance. but in between there is empty vast nothing. its black becuase there are no particles of anything to reflect the light from the stars.

but the concept of nothingness is more complicated to explain. i cant explain it because i cant fully comprehend non existance. n yea it is fun to think about but frustrating

lol reminds me of when i was a kid n i used to think about my teddy bears i would think well if they arent alive then what do they see? what is existance for an inanimate object lol i was so stupid i treid to imagine what it would be like for them. i couldnt understand the concept that they didnt have conciousness. it was beyond my tiny childs brain

i guess its kinda the same thing,  we just cant understand what is beyond our ability to comprehend

no one knows what causes a black hole, or what it really is, but like if u think about it it kinda makes sence in an incomplete way. its like a vacume. when u turn on ur vacume cleaner it sucks stuff in because of the vacume (empty space inside) if a black hole is like a portal to empty space then it would suck matter into that space wouldnt it? n isnt that what black holes do? they suck stuff into them. but yea its frustrating to think about sumthing that u cant really understand. and also the concept of time and space is interesting too. cuz like time is not linear like we humans imagine it. its like a circle, all happening at once. we perceive it to be linear because thats the way our minds comprehend it

  3. To me there is no "nothing" because even if you think about nothing your still thinking about something. If you say nothing is a blank white room with no doors or windows its still something. Its a room. So i believe that "nothing" is imposable because you still have something . Yes, people say that nothing is the opposite of anything but its still the opposite its still something whether it is something physical or mental its simply imposable to have absolute"nothing" because you'll still have something.

  4. I understand nothing...when I think of nothing I think of not being.      Death..and not in the sense that we go to heaven or are reincarnated after death but we just become nothing. We are not there, we do not think, see, feel, taste, remember, cry, love. We are nothing. It's terrifying indeed.

  5. i have comprehended it..

when you do, it is only for a split second and you get an adrenilen rush.. it is weird and gives you a quick sinking spell

you just have to keep repeating in your head what if nothing. existed. i mean nothing not even nothing and all of the sudden it will hit you.

Am i the onlyone who has experienced the comprehension of nothing... it is insane

you can explain the definition but you havent truely comprehended it until you have experianced this.

EDIT: you obviously arn't comprehending it!:) lol, You have to look at the big picture.. about black holes... nothing physical may be inside of them but.. you are forgetting about the thoughts we have and the physical mass around us.. aren't our thoughts and math and studies something even though they arn't physical????

EDIT FOR THE NEW EDIT OF THE QUESTION: this is not possible in the english language to do but it is possible in the mind. This isn't something you can describe with words. you can only explain how you feel when you comprehend it in your head.... we dont necesarily think in english... we are just automatically translating our thoughts into english when we speak and write..

    Hope this helps... John M.

p.s. yes i understand what u r saying cause an absence is something, but if you comprehend it, you will get this experiance

  6. my description of "nothing" is purgatory.

  7. nothing - emptiness or no feelings

our minds have been trained throughout ages (from the beginning of time) with learning, creating, understanding etc. - too much activity in our minds to understand nothing
