Are there any single word to describe people from Japan, China, Mongolia and Korea? (They look similar, don't they??)

I don't want to use the term "Asian", because Indian and Thai people are Asian too, and they r not very similar with Chinese people.

And if u know a site which provide sample picture of all human race in the world, could u please inform me?

Because I'd like to view all human race from all over the world.

Thanks

  1. I am sometimes called Oriental or Asian. I am 1/2 Korean and I don't think that all asians look alike. If you go to Korea, and then go to Japan and then to China you will notice that we all look different.

You can also call them (us) east Asian.

  2. In anthropology there are only three races that are distinguished and Asians fall under "Mongoloid."

  3. How about Oriental?

    Or East-Asian, Oriental, Mongoloid...

  4. "East Asian".

  5. This website has an overview of how various people from around the world look.  What you should keep in mind is that the concept of "race" is not one that anthropologists use to classify humans.  It is becoming more common to categorize people by their "haplogroup" rather than by physical features which are very broad and general.

  6. The race is called Mongolian

  7. Mongoloid

    i just prefer "East Asian"

  8. They don't look similiar, I would say that Koreans are classical Asian.  That's just my perspective.
