I read recently in orissa a prominent VHP reformer was killed along with two others. There was no human rights talk at that time. Now when there is backlash all rights people are coming out and want investigations. Is this right?

  1. You must be surprised to know that Human Right Activist and United Nations had not made even sigle statement when Muslims killed millions of Hindus in Pakistan and snatched their properties belongings etc during 1947 Gandhi and Nehru also had not cared for hindu rights

No compensation for the loss of our properties till  date

They formed pakistan they continued their policy of killing of Hindus

When one Christian or Muslim dies entire world cries of Human rights

This is a shame on the part of UN and human right activists

  2. Human rights are for all people, regardless of their gender, race or religion.

But, as the author observed, "Some animals have more rights than others." (Animal Farm)

  3. The VHP followers were unnecessarily killed, but it doesn't justify the current unrest and violance that has gripped some parts of orissa.

  4. I think you are mixing up issues.   Some VHP persons were murdered.  The competent agency is obliged to investigate these murders and prosecute the accused, if found.

The violence unleashed by VHP and Bajrang Dal protagonists, in the aftermath of the murders, is illegal.  There can be no justification for illegal acts.

The state of Orissa is obliged to maintain the rule of law, which it has miserably failed to do.  It appears as though the VHP BD goons have been given free licence to commit murder, arson and other violent acts, at will.

That is what all the "Human Rights talk" is about.

If the VHP and anyone else has a grievance about purported conversions, they ought to have the guts to seek redress as permitted in law - through the courts, or through petitioning the legislature.  The VHP and others have no right to commit any extra legal acts to express their displeasure.

  5. Human Rights is an obsolete concept which was in vogue after the second world war in US and then elsewhere. It was a perfect tool in the hands of affluent democratic nations to interfere in the domestic affairs of a nation.

The latest tool is 'WAR AGAINST TERROR'. You pronounce a nation or an organiztion as terroist and start beating it up. VHP is a terrorist organization and must be smashed.Don,t talk about HR.

  6. "u play with the sword u die by the sword" .its an open secret that VHP's ideology is based upon Hindutva a racist to its core. the human rights which VHP believes in r not universal rather parochial. pls don't be wolf in sheep's clothing. nevertheless nobody has right to take life as it is the most sacred thing even that of an animal. feel sorry for the deceased & hope that adhering to the true spirit of hindutva VHP would learn positively from this incident rather being vindictive.

  7. We all have human rights one of which is that that we should all stand equal before the law.If a crime has been committed it must be investigated irrespective of who committed it and their religion, race etc
