  1. I was going to say that it would be a good idea but I have just looked up online for curiosity and it says the correct way to dispose of it is to put the contents down the loo and flush them away and then to dispose of the bag in the rubbish so I guess she is doing it correctly presuming it is emptied before it goes in the black bag.

  2. well nappies go into regular waste - so its not illegal; but if she has carers then they should be using yellow bio bags - and disposing of correctly - especially for any dressings etc etc... call the council and see what they say - as you are quite right a fox could easily break open the bags and spread the 'stuff' all over the place.

  3. tell the local heath dept

  4. yes i would

  5. Yes call the council, flubewl is correct about the yellow bags, the carers should know this too. It's a health and safety issue for the bin collectors too, image those bags splitting on the pavement!

  6. There but for the grace of God?

  7. I'm guessing, by the verbiage you use, you're in the UK.

I can only thank God I don't live in such a place as you!

Are you an entire nation of snitches and tattle-tales?

Can you not simply ask your neighbor if she needs help?? Must you instead rat her out to the government? Is that what passes for compassion in the UK?

  8. as far as human blood, bloodborne pathogens can remain active and can contaminate up to 60-90 days after they're cleaned up, if they are not cleaned up properly. (HIV is only contractible until the blood is cooled).

good thing to know, and also if human waste is sealed in a bag before it is thrown away, it is better than loose in the black rubbish bags, in case the black bag rips, there will be another sealed entity in the bag.
