Humanitary Visa?

Question

Is anyone here familiar with what this is exactly? I was informed of it through the secretary of my immigration attorney as he was out of the office and have searched online and can find nothing. I know it has something to do with an expedited visa for a spouse when their partner is having a severe medical crisis, but that's pretty much it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You're probably thinking of Humanitarian Parole, through USCIS. There is no humanitarian visa as such. HP allows you to come into the US if you're otherwise ineligible for a visa. There is an application fee and it isn't always granted by any means. Have your immigration attorney take a look at uscis.gov. Maybe he'll learn something.
