Question:

Humans - a cancer on the Earth?

The world is going to h**l, literally becoming h**l on Earth.

You might think it sounds unreal that thousands of species are disappearing every day, along with thousands of ACRES of rain forests.

That soil that they lived on becomes useless, and when that happens, the area will eventually become a desert.

All of this "has to" happen to fuel the fast-paced, self-serving economies... or rather the heads of the big businesses and corporations, (90% of the Wealth belongs to less than 2% population.)

The work that is being done to replant trees and try to reverse any of this damage is completely insignificant compared to the damage being done.

And yet, you, and myself, are so brainwashed in to thinking that our generation is powerless and that we have no voice. We're led to believe that the way things are is the way they should be, just because thats how they've 'always' been. And what I'm saying must seem either unimportant or futile to you...

  1. I like how your mind works and how you express your thoughts. You write they way that I wish I could.

But to answer your question, perhaps. Yes, we may well be a cancer on the earth. We are rapidly using up it's precious resources without seemingly a second thought. However, there is beauty in us just as there is beauty in the earth that we may be quietly destroying. Some of us are still capable of understanding what is amazing on earth and how to appreciate it. We are not yet hopeless.

Just don't become so jaded that you can't see the wonder still here. The things that can't be destroyed by people or time, the beauty.

  2. Spoken like a true Altruist.  Funny, your philosophy has more in common with the religion you say you dislike.

Only liberals are the cancer of the Earth.

  3. If you think the human race is so evil, you should start with the erradication by killing yourself.

  4. 85,000,000 people are born every year. I think the rich or the 2% you say are trying to bring down world population by doing all you say and giving us less health benefits. They are killing us.

  5. All of your unsubstantiated "disasters" are false. Moreover, can you prove or even offer a tiny shred of evidence that any actions taken my mankind will positively affect the future of this planet?

The answer is no, humans are not a cancer, they are a product of the very nature that you suggest must be protected from them. That's an idiotic premise.
