There is much evidence to indicate that humans are a major factor in the extinction of species. Some researchers estimate that one-fifth of the earth’s current species will be extinct by 2030. Assume that you are an environmental scientist employed by the Fish and Wildlife Service.

    Take Easter Island for example! Easter Island used to have palm trees galore. Then they cur every last one down, several hundred years ago, to move their monolithic statues around, never stopping to think about saving at least one coconut.

    Humans are the only species that have lost their common sense.

  7. Of the earth's estimated 10 million species, 300,000 have vanished in the past 50 years. each years, 3,000 to 30,000 species become extinct.

    Human activity is speeding that up since we tend to overpower all the other species in one way or another.

    you left out the most important of all

    human expansion .animal loss of habitat .deforestation,

    don`t ask pre designed questions because you strangle informative answers .

    Eco tourism is what can save animal habitats .

    Drag netting destroys huge marine populations

    Slash and burn farming ,agriculture and

    Deforestation,expanding settlement  destroy most animal habitat

    as well as desertification because of the over pumping carbon aquifers, rivers dry up ,habitats are changed and animals die off.

    Global warming is also beginning to have its affects ,because some microbiotic species are disappearing others are becoming invasive ,and the insect life that follows is affected and changed ,and everything that follows is affected in both flora and fauna.

    And we all know about ice fields melting, which affects all life that is connected
