hey all how are ya = D

Im not really sure with this, but in tennis, obvioulsy to be able to play in prestigious comps such as grand slams and stuff, u need to work ur way up from humble beginnings (from lowere competitions).

My question is, the VERY FIRST TIME you play tennis, how do you enter a tournament which is the first stepping stone towards your career? Is it:

1. your coach HAS TO recommend you to go join a comp.

2. If you think youre good enough, you enter it urself.

which of these 2 is right? is it possible to join a comp without the coach recommending you, just as long as u think ur exceptionally decent?

Thanks everyone!
