  1. High temp low humidity. They live here in our deserts and that is what it is here. I would call Petsmart and ask the exact temp and humidity levels to maintain.

  2. I think the answer to this question really depends on the type of tarantula that you have.  There are over 40 types of tarantula's in the US alone and 300+ worldwide.

    I know we have tarantula's here in AZ (more so in Tucson) but they also live in CA and Mexico and the humidity in both of those places is higher than what we typically have in AZ.

    The link below has info on the care of various tarantulas.  For example, they recommend the enclosure be maintained at 50 - 80 degrees farenheit with a humidity level of 50 - 60%,

    So I would recommend you start there and maybe you'll find the answers you're looking for.

  3. It does certainly depend on the type of tarantula.  For example; Chilean roses (Grammostola rosea) are from the dry, cool areas of Chile, and can be kept at room temperature and low humidity (70-80F and 50-60%).  Brazilian salmons (Lasiodora parahybana), on the other hand, like higher temp and a lot of humidity, being from Brazil. (75-85F and 70-80%).

    You can read more at the following site.  Follow the links to find the specific info for your tarantula species;

    If this is for a tarantula you caught yourself near where you live, then all you need to do is keep the tarantula at the humidity that it is regularly outside your home.
