What is the humidity of a typically nice day? I have 20-25 degrees celcius but no idea what type of humidity is typical.

  1. I always enjoy a 20 to 25 degree C day with a dew point at least 10 to 20 degrees C less than that of the temperature. An old rule of thumb is that if there is a 10 degree C spread between the temperature and the dew point, the relative humidity is half or around 50 percent. If there is a 20 degree C spread then it is halved again or 25 percent.

I have always been comfortable with the RH between 25 and 50 percent at temperatures of 20 to 30 degrees C.

  2. Well, what is typical or normal varies by location.  And what people perceive as being pleasant or nice is subjective.  I think most people do not enjoy high humidity levels, so if you were to have a day with temperatures between 20-25 degrees (68-77F), typically you want a dewpoint (which measures the amount of moisture in the air) at or below 10C.  It is at about this dewpoint that most people would begin to notice a higher level of humidity.  This would equate to a relative humidity of 40-50%.
