I saw a show a while back with a hummer that runs on food and left over waste.I think it was called the green machine but, i can't find a web page about it.They traveled all over the US in it. I saw the one when they went through New Orlaens. It was a while back.Does any one know where I can get info about this hummmer that ran on used oil and food.I would like to see if they still tour the US with it.

  1. Yes - agree with third comment. Basically runs off used fish and chip oil or other vegetable oil product. This may sound evironmentally friendly, but the cleanliness of the oil is disputable, and it would never be a viable option for our economy, as there simply isnt enough used oil out there.

Furthermore, farming crops for biodiesel is causing massive deforrestation problems in some parts of the world, so I would say whilst it is cool what they have done, it is also a bit unscaleable.

buy a small EV sports car or something. Hummer = Dumber.

  2. Hummers ARE food waste!

    p.o.s.

  3. lol So what do you do when you stop at McDonald's get you hummer a big mack to . Its just running off used cooking oil just like a diesel in fact i think it is a diesel motor but if you can teach one to eat solid foods like a horse would let me know i want one

  4. If you have a diesel hummer (some of the original ones are) with a few fuel system mods you can run on biodiesel.  Which is basicallr refined vegetable oil.  You can buy stills to convert used frying grease to biodiesel.
