Hummingbird impalements?

has anybody in history ever been impaled by a hummingbird?

  1. I have never heard of it. I guess those hummingbirds are good pilots.


  2. why do you ask?

    Ok...hummingbirds are territorial and social. They like to defend their feeding places and will fly quite close to try and scare you off but they can also be tame enough to eat out of your hand. I doubt very much they will impale you..lol..they are expert flyers.

  3. Yes, the hummingbird in question was named Vlad the Impaler. The terror of Transylvania. Dang, the pain was terrible and I lost a lot of blood.  

    I have heard that this bird has vampiric powers and more recently I have taken to staying out of sunlight and I sleep in a coffin between sunrise and sunset.

    I missed a lot of Olympic viewing because of my new sleeping habits.

    I used to be a vegan but now the smell of red meat and blood really get me going.

    So to answer your question, yes, I have been impaled good.

  4. I've been dive-bombed by hummingbirds.  That was before I was told they're very territorial.  It's an interesting experience....
