Hummingbird moths?

Question

I live in orange county ny and tonight I saw a hummingbird moth feeding on my petunia's nectar!

How beautiful! Are they rare? I've lived here all my life and this is the first time I've ever seen one.

They are very pretty, and they are very common in ISRAEL.
