I have nothing against her as a person, she appears to be a decent human being, but an OBE for musical contribution.......

She's like a lot of other pop culture celebs, can hold a tune, can dance a bit, but nothing outstanding. She made a lot of money for her record company though.

I tend to agree with you - BUT there's probably a whole host of charity work that she's done as most stars do thats probably worth her OBE.

Also anything that keeps breast cancer awareness in the news has got to be good thing, so her OBE probably serves a useful purpose in that respect.

I believe she does hold records and accolades for cd/album sales and concert tickets though.

It may also be a message for our younger generation - you're never going to see Amy Winehouse OBE!

Good point.

Yes she has done a lot of charity work.

Yes she does have a great ***.

Yes she has battled cancer.

However the OBE was not for any of these, it was for contribution to music.

I've tried and tried but I cant think of a single thing she has done for music.

I'm off now to start a campaign to get the members of McFly knighthoods. At least they play instruments.

They decided to give an Australian an award, as it helps keep Anglo- Australian relations on good terms.

Then they had to choose an Australian and she was found to be the best out of a fairly ordinary bunch.

She is an Aussie and they have to hand a few gongs to them otherwise they start wingeing.

However, I dont mind if she has one why not!

She has been quite successful, and is a looker and puts on a good show which is more than can be said about some of them.

She has made a massive mark on popular culture - she has been around decades and does a lot of good for charities here in the UK and abroad and is a fantastic role model.

Plus she has a backside any woman would be proud of!
