Hundred of dead mosquitoes on the office door...?

I got to work around 7 am this morning. On the door that leads into the office building (there is a small window on the door and the light in the office is kept on all night) I noticed about twenty mosquitoes on the glass part and realized there was close to 100 on the door itself and several hundred more on the wall surrounding the door and several hundred I noticed dead on the ground. I also believe over half if not all the mosquitoes on the door/wall are also dead. The office building is only a couple weeks old and the office employees are kind of worried about this. Does anyone know what is causing the mosquitoes to attract to the building and why are they all dead?

The insects will be attractive to the light that is left on like many insects are at night, trying to seek a heat source. As one of the others said the drop in tempurate can be enough to kill them

wow. I think you should check the ventillation in your building. Were the door and walls recently painted? They could be attracted and ulitmately poisoned by that. I once read an article where a company set up a generator in the jungle and two weeks later the generator just shut down. They then found out the air vent was jammed packed full of dead mosquitoes and ALL the mosquitoes were male! turned out the gen. was operating at the same frequency  as a female mosquito that was ready for mating. they must all have died happy,then!

Where do you live?

If the temperature between day&night time of where you live so much different, like very warm in day time and get so cold at night.It might cause of the death of these mosquitos.

Because the mosquitos most live in tropical zone and they may die with coldness at night...

I think they tried to get inside the building for seeking the heater but they couldn't get inside. So they died outside as I told you before +_+
