  1. Chi Na as far as I'm aware is not really a stand alone system but more of a complimentary art within Kung Fu...  It revolves around grappling and is highly effective, it is essentially the chinese version of Aikido, and combining it with Shui Jiao you would have the Chinese equivelant to BJJ.

  2. hung gar is the most complete system .

  3. Chin Na

  4. Hung Gar and Choy Lay fut are more external systems that have evolved out of the more traditional styles like Lohan and Tai Tzu.

Interestingly enough, Bagua is one of the three styles (together with Tai Chi and Xing Yi) that came out of Tai Tsu. the modern day Contemporary Wushu style called Chang Chuan is also a loooooong descendant of Tai Tzu, also sometimes known as Emperor Fist or Long Fist.

The reason I am stating all this is that there is alot more involved, indept history and analysis to the Bagua style than the rest that you have asked about. This makes its understanding in combat and realistic fighting alot more complicated as compared to the rest. But in my humble opinion, and for me personally, it is the best choice out of the lot.

Chi Na was well explained above being compared to Aikido, although it is not as gentle. In fact it isalot more vulgar and brutal in its applications. Although the principles are similar, Chi Na is alot more effective than Aikido with regards to realistic fighting.

Hung Gar and Choy Lay Fut are both by products of the traditional Shaolin styles. But these have evolved and adapted to modern trends and situations. In a way they would be the better choice if sport fighting is what you are after. They are very physical styles but are also very different from each other.

Both are Southern styles so power and stance work is the focal point, however, Choy Lay Fut resembles the Northern styles alot due to its swing arm motions and almost "flowery" movements. Hung Gar is alot more to the point with quicker shorter attacks and strikes.

  5. ba gua is very similar to tai chi, ppl do not always teach the fight applications for it

Choy Li Fut does have good fighting applications but some  of their instructions may keep students on the road of memorizing forms with or without explaining the applications

Chin Na if learned correctly is very effective in joint locks and manipulations, yet with Shuai Jiao as the man above me said...it is very effective
