  1. Water. Alcohol dehydrates us so we need to replace that water. Being dehydrated may also cause us to have a headache. The water may solve that alone within 15 minutes or take an aspirin.

  2. Take an aspirin, a tylenol and drink lots of water--It works better if you take it before you go to sleep.

  3. Water, not sports drinks - You are dehydrated. Replace the water. Sports drinks are high in sodium and sugar which can make the hang over worse.

Banana - Your body was robbed of potassium by the alcohol.

B vitamins - B Complex to be specific. Again your body was robbed of them

Advil, NOT Tylenol or Aspirin - It has the least side effect. Tylenol causes stomach bleeding and Aspirin cause liver bleeding.

Graze - Many small snacks or meals. Your body needs to replace the blood sugar that was once again...robbed from you.

Maintain your routine - If you normally drink coffee when you wake up, do so. If you always take a shower within 15 minute of waking do so. Your body craves routine.

    AVOID:

More Alcohol - It just delays the inevitable and make it worse.

Aspirin/Tylenol - Unless you like internal bleeding.

Sports Drinks - One or two is OK...many is bad.

Greasy/Heavy foods - Honestly...your stomach is upset. Why would you want something heavy in it?

  4. i would suggest drinking a beer! it really does help a hang over, avoid orange juice that will just make u think and taste alcohol! atleast it does that to me.. but just sleep if i were u! or go out and lay out in the sun n lay in the pool and drink lots of water

  5. I second Robin's answer - NEVER take tylenol/acetominophen with alcohol.  It is extremely toxic to your liver, and you may wind up in critical and immediate need of a transplant.  Hangovers are generally caused by the impurities in alcohol, which is why, in theory, clear liquors are less likely to cause hangovers.

If you have access to it, breathing pure oxygen seems to compensate for the impurities.  I've used this successfully a few times before.

And Robin, how many nurses DON'T like to drink?!?

  6. try and lay down and stay down. because whenever i would lift my head it would smack me in the face. Water because your body is dehydrated right now, and is just recovering from all that alcohol that was poured into your body. Lots of water.

  7. Regardless of your normal diet, greasy food will eliminate a hangover. I pretty much guarantee that.

McDonald's double cheeseburgers usually do the trick, if thats not to your liking just find something else that is mad greasy.

  8. try drinking coffee. i hope it helps.

  9. Drink Wwater plenty of water, take some advill or tylenol

    before going to bed

or take a cold shower (worked for me)

  10. Experts say in order to avoid dehydration from too much alcohol you have to drink a glass of plain water for each beer or shot of alcohol you drink. But who wants to drink a gallon of water after a night on the town??? YUCK!

What can help... 4 Advil and a quart of water (4 cups) BEFORE BED. It really helps!

DO NOT take Tylenol after alcohol, it can damage your liver. And Aspirin combined with alcohol can cause bleeding of the stomach and esophageal lining. Don't do it!!! Same for Alka Seltzer.. .the sodium is bad with alcohol!

  11. Two aspirin.

  12. i've tried them both they do help but it will take a little time.Take 3 Advil's and drink a pop with caffeine in it or drink Alka seltzer

  13. Drink a Gadorade, take an advil, and then drink another Gadorade. I've never tried it, but my boyfriend does that everytime he is hungover. Give it a shot. (no pun intended).

  14. in DUI school they teach that the only thing that helps a hangover is time, but some people say (as unappetizing as it may sound) a beer does the trick......i suggest water and bread ;) hangovers suck.

  15. only time can truly get rid of it. myths like showers and drinking milk don't help. take it easy for the day.

  16. Tried many things too many times.  I work in a kitchen so I have tried every food known to mankind.  Nothing works to hot.  Only things I could suggest outside the already stated answers is starchy vegetables, like peas or mashed potatoes plain.  They go a long way to help any stomach pain, but do nothing for any other symptoms.
