  1. Hungarian Bubble Loaf:  recipe provided & posted!!

    Ingredients:

    1/2 of Basic Roll Dough recipe (1241) 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter

    melted 3/4 cup granulated sugar 2 tsp cinnamon 3/4 cup finely chopped nuts

    Directions:

    Preheat oven to 350 F. Butter a 9-inch tube pan. Mold dough into small balls the size of an English walnut, roll each one in melted butter, then in mixture of sugar and cinnamon, the in nuts. Place in bottom of tube pan not quite touching each other. Repeat this with other layers on top of the first, utnil dough is used. Sprinkle remannin butter, cinnamon and nuts on top. Let rise until double in bulk, about 45 minutes. Bake 50-55 minutes on lowest rack in oven. Cool before removing from pan. (Plump raisins, candied cherries, and pineapple may be added between layers. Press the slighty into the balls)


  2. Would much rather have goulash.  What is Hungarian Bubblewash?   Is that a body soap manufactured in Budapest?  Or are you just pulling someone's leg????
