  1. This is from memory -- but, if no one else answers your question, it's "something".  :)

    I think it's 3 cups flakes, 3 1/4 cups water, 1 cup milk.

If that turns out of be a little too watery, add a few flakes.  Conversely, if it is took "thick", add a little more water or milk.

Add butter & salt to taste, of course.

I put it all in the Microwave for 8-10 minutes, but the instructions, I think, calls for 6 minutes (on high), stirring occassionally.

LOL.   Well, after reading Amy W's answer (below), I'm embarrassed!  LOL!

  2. I never look at thew instructions-I pour in some water, some milk and salt and pepper and some butter and mix and cook in micro till they are hot and wet enough to look good. You should be able to tell even before you heat them as you can mix them first-if they look dry-add more milk etc

  3. no problem, here it is.

    4 servings:  1 1/4 c water, 2 tbsp marg., 1/2 tsp salt, 2/3 c milk, 1 1/3 c flakes.

Heat water , marg, and salt to boiling in sauce pan.

    Remove from heat.

Stir in milk and flakes with fork until potatoes are desired consistency.

    6 servings:  1 3/4 c water,  3 tbsp marg,  3/4 tsp salt,  1 c milk,  2 c flakes

  4. I do 1 cup water, 1/3 cup milk, pinch of salt and 1 Tbsp. butter to 1 cup flakes,  for two of us, with some left over...so double?
