time to make up a decision, as he wants to see if the club matches his ambitions.
The frontman further added that the club has not offered him a new deal yet, and confirmed that money is not an issue. He claimed that he needs to see the club’s long term plans and announced that he has not decided when to make
the final decision. The frontman just wants to see their progress this season.
"They [Schalke] haven't made an offer yet. We didn't speak about money at all, only about the sporting side of things. I haven't set a deadline for myself, because I want to see how it will go with the team," he was quoted as saying
in an interview.
Schalke play Bayern Munich in their next match, and the hit-man is making a swift recovery from a nose problem in order to help his side get a victory.
"I hope I can play against Bayern. It's about time that we beat them," he mused.
"It's not that I'm sick at the moment, only my nose is stuffed right now. We'll have to see how it goes from here. I also have some little pains from the match against Olympiakos on Tuesday," he added.
Schalke are fourth in the league table following their two wins and a further draw. Last season the team ended third and qualified for the UEFA Champions League automatically.
