Hunter Pence and Buster Posey avoid arbitration with San Francisco Giants – MLB Update
The San Francisco Giants have come to agree terms with their two main players as they both will now play further for few more years. Both players have also avoided arbitration with the Giants and somewhat gave them slight assurance of their presence in the next Major League event.
Posey played brilliantly in the last Major League outing for the Giants as he achieved consistent numbers of .336 along with 24 home runs, 103 RBIs and .408 OBP.
He also carries a good career .314 hitting average along with 46 home runs, 191 RBIs and .380 OBP. His last season’s performance and overall career playing averages also makes him a true talented player in the Giants roster.
“Every player has the decision and we respect the decision, In our case, sure, we played till November. For a catcher, in particular, that’s a long season – and Buster spent all last offseason rehabbing. He played a lot more games than we thought,” Recently the Giants’ manager Bruce Bochy said for Buster Posey and explained about his talent and how he carries his game with big thrust.
He added, “So I think he’s doing the right thing because he understands how much earlier he’d have to crank it up and be game ready.”
Right fielder Hunter Pence also is a good Major Leaguer and possesses good career as well as recent past season’s stats. Last season, Pence was exceptional in the field as he hit with an average of .253 along with 24 home runs, 104 RBIs and .319 OBP.
He is also carrying career hitting average of .285 along with 138 home runs, 516 RBIs and .339 OBP.
Though Hunter Pence is certainly a good player but players within the Giants roster are saying that Buster Posey’s news of avoiding arbitration is certainly a healthy factor for the South San Francisco baseball franchise.
Along with Posey as a potential catcher, the Giants have also a backup at behind the plate with Hector Sanchez. With Sanchez and Posey, the Giants have a fair chance to do well in the next Major League big event.
