Hunting Rights to hunt victory in Hemihelp Nursery
When the Mark Johnston trained chestnut colt, Hunting Rights, runs in the Hemihelp Nursery at Newmarket on August 24, his prime objective will be to complete his first ever hat-trick by winning the Class 4 contest over 1 mile. The high-stakes race contains £3,881 in the prize purse.
By facing the good to firm ground in his last start, the two-year-old novice colt gained a lot of confidence; thus, he will feel quite comfortable to run alongside five worthy competitors in the coming contest.
With the rich legacy of E. Dubai (sire) and Possession (dam), the brilliant runner made his debut on July 8, 2012, finishing 4th in the maiden race named as Sadie Sawers Memorial Median Auction Maiden Stakes.
After this pathetic start, the Darley bred maverick sprinter moved on to break his maiden in the very next race entitled as £32 Bonus At 32Red.com Maiden Stakes. This success was a big morale booster for him.
Hunting Rights improved further and grabbed another grand victory in the Racing UK On Sky 432 Nursery, held at Beverley on August 16. He had been the best-priced candidate for each of these two starts.
The Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum owned colt is keen to keep this tradition intact in today’s marathon. However, he will run under a new jockey, Franny Norton, unlike Silvestre De Sousa who nicely rode him in the last two races.
In this scenario, it is expected that Hunting Rights will be able to march towards the finish line quite convincingly, without facing much resistance.
Yorkshire Icon is the only runner who can create a little hurdle for Hunting Rights. The Ann Duffield trained bay colt started his career in May 2012. With short intervals, he has run 8 races so far.
After breaking his maiden with the title of the Award-Winning Coachman Caravans Maiden Auction Stakes, he elegantly won the Thirskracecourse.net Claiming Stakes. For both of the times, he had been the hot-favourite candidate.
Thus, it is anticipated that Yorkshire Icon and Hunting Rights will fight neck-to-neck with the latter being the ultimate victor. Good luck to both the mighty runners.
