Hunting elk in new mexico, when do the elk start bulging in unit 15?

i drew a archery tag for unit 15. it start sept 11-18th. are there any 400 class bulls in that unit?

It depends on the season but generally around mid-late September. There are some monsters in the upper Gila, I was driving just north of Reserve a while back at dusk and thought there was a herd of horses in the road with antlers! What is the code on your elk license? If it is a "A" code, be sure that you understand you can only take an anterless elk, and the Game and Fish guys are strict on that.
