  1. I own Bucks, hand made customs, but my workhorse knife is

Cold Steel Master Hunter with a their carbon v steel.  The edge will last a long time, and I have little trouble getting it back after a skinning job.  The Kraton handle does not slip when the hands are all bloody or wet.  It can be purchased from Cold Steel  directly on the internet.

  2. the vanguard made by Buck...get a good rubber gripped one with a gut-hook

  3. I like Gerber or Buck, my partner id a die harded "cold steel"

  4. 10 inch  K-bar  made with carbon steel

  5. Get any knife you want, just don't get one with a blade over 5 inches long, and make sure it has a gut hook.

  6. please dont get a huge blade, get one no longer than 3 inches at the very most. i find smaller blades easier to work with- especially when you dont want don accidentally cut your hands while field dressing. buck knives are great for under 100 bucks, i also recommend kershaw.i would also look for a fixed blade

  7. You should be able to buy a great hunting knife with $100. I bet you get a lot of different answers to this one, as everyone has an opinion.

Here's mine, I like these. Don't let the price on the site fool you, you can get them for about $80 elsewhere.
