Hunting periods in UK?

hello everybody .

i want to know which are the hunting periods in general for the UK and which are the hunting periods for woodpigeons ?

Does anybody knows any site where i can find detailed info about hunting in Uk or any site which organise hunting trips?

  2. Generally hunting periods are in winter and autumn, when the breeding stops.  And hunting is not 'generally frowned upon by most British people', that just depends on who you hang around with!  I would say, 'generally' its only townies that simply don't understand.  

    Hunting has shaped this country, without it there would be no woodlands, no hedgerows and half the species would either be extinct or over-run - imagine if we didn't shoot rabbits?  How on earth would their population be controlled?  Unless that is, people want to keep acre after acre as just rabbit feed!

  4. I don't know I'm afraid, but if you find an organisation that does kill them, can you send them round to mine to kill the one that sits on top of my chimney stack and yells down at me all day long!!! Cheers

  5. Hunting is frowned on, by most British people ,There are a lot of Animal and Bird lovers here

  6. where i used to work they hunted pheasents in the woods in october/november and january.
