Hurraboru likely to prevail in 32Redpoker.com Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race

Hurraboru seems to be in a very good position to win the 32Redpoker.com Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race at Doncaster in England on Friday, March 2, 2012. The class-6 event has a winning cash prize of £1,625 and it will commence at 5:20 GMT.
The 2 mile 110 yard event has attracted nine entries and their names are: Hurraboru, Aeschylus, Deportation, Dorlesh Way, Here’s Hockey, Spider Palm, Mysula, Small And Mighty and Ron.
The best odds of winning are with Hurraboru, who has a decent record in NHF races. He has entered a couple of them, winning once and finishing third in the other. His victory came on his debut outing, where he completely dominated the rest of the pack.
However, the five-year-old gelding found things a touch difficult in his second race, as he managed to finish third out of five runners. Despite losing some momentum in his previous outing, the punters will be encouraged to place more bets on him today.
Donald McCain’s trained runner will be partnered by Henry Brooke in this race.
Renee Robeson’s trainee, Aeschylus, will be the second favourite for the race at Doncaster today. He has taken part in just one NHF event, but showed terrific skills in it. He managed a third place finish out of 13 entrants, which will encourage the bettors
to invest some money on him.
The five-year-old gelding will be ridden by Jimmy McCarthy, jockey who has earned five NHF victories in his career until now. He does not have a very good strike rate, but might be comfortable racing in this class.
Another runner, who has a decent chance of performing well at Doncaster, is Ron. He has taken two NHF starts and finished runner up in his latest one. He was a touch nervous in his maiden race, finishing seventh, but showed great improvement next time around.
The four-year-old gelding’s trainer, Mark H Tompkins, will be hoping for further improved performance this time around. His runner will be partnered by Colin Bolger, who has earned five NHF victories in his career so far.
The rest of the runners do not really have a good chance of winning today, as the top three favourites are in very god shape at the moment. Hurraboru is likely to dominate the proceedings, if everything goes well for him.
