i live in brownsville its already here! my family just got shitloads of sandbags and put them all around the house.

you should do that too. oh, and dont forget to get lots and lots of water and canned food because it might cut off the power which means water systems to and that means no running water or flushing the toilets. you can clog your tubs and sinks up and fill them with water, go buy water & just like fill all these big pitchers with water too.

they say like 15 inches of rain or something in isolated areas.

i live in corpus too dont worry too much, were not getting the eye plus its just a cat 1 all u have to do is board up the windows and be patient

Tropical Storm Dolly is not a hurricane as of yet, but it is expected to become one. Assuming you live in Texas, I don't think you need to be completely afraid of Dolly. Of course, take the necessary precautions such as boarding up windows, but a category one hurricane, as Dolly is expected to become, is not strong enough to cause any sort of significant damage. Mobile homes are at risk, and some trees can be damaged, but you shouldn't have anything to worry about unless you're right on the coastline near the Mexican border. Keep yourself informed of any changes, most importantly.

aaaahhh! i'm 13 too!. i live in alice.  its about 40 miles west of corpus, but i go to corpus alot.  sorry buddy, but it not gonna hit us directly, but were gonna get alot of wind.  byb alot, i mean about 50 mile per hour winds.  today i was in corpus cuz we went to get boards to board up the windows.  go get some, board up the windows, get lots of water. the lights will most likely go out, buy flashlights and batteries. lots of batteries.  get that thing that channel 3 and HEB got together to make or buy or whatever. its like a weather thing. it comes out on the news alot!  get lots of foods. if you have things like a trampoline, tie it too something, cuz it will prolly fly away, if you have anyything outside that isn't tied down, or that isn't really heavy, take it inside and keep it there until its over.   don't worry.  member like bout maybe 6 years ago (if corpus is ur hometown) there was an other hurricane that was even closer and it was a category like 1 or 2 and we were just fine. just get prepared, and buy that channel 3 and heb weather thing. (i'm pretty sure they sell it at HEB)

Lol...yeah im in the same predicament. I am from Brownsville and on the weather channel, it says its supposed to hit late Wednesday night and early Thursday. I love with weather..but aahhh I'm a little freaked out. Good Luck!! Where you from by the way!!!
