Could the first day of school we cancelled? (tues, hillsbourough county) because its supposed to have like 90 mph winds tuesday 8am

Hey there!  I too, live in Tampa Bay area..   The school's themselves still aren't sure about closing.  The storm still has a lot of time to change it's track.

I don't think they'd cancel school for a tropical storm but if it gets upgraded to a hurricane it might. I want it to get upgraded to a hurricane but not for school to get canceled but I want to film it. I'm planning on earning a meteorology degree. I love severe weather.

90 mph winds? Where did you hear that Tampa will be directly hit?  The last I heard, it is still up in the air where in Florida the storm will impact.

But....

If Tamps IS issued a storm watch/warning, schools will be closed.

NO.  You will have to go to school.  The Hillsbourough county school board and the administration will not allow the first day to be canceled, so get ready, its gonna be a LONG school year!
