how strong is this hurricane?

how strong r the winds?

i heard it got stronger on land

Right now Fay is still a tropical storm with the latest report of sustained winds around 50 mph...likely in squalls off the east coast of Florida.  The center of Fay is currently hugging the coastline a little north of Melbourne, and it may drift a little offshore today.  The upper conditions are such that it would allow for some strengthening of Fay as it drifts generally northward.  

It did strengthen a little for a short time Tuesday as the upper conditions became better suited, allowing for a little strengthening despite the center of Fay being over land.
