I live in Englewood Fl, just south of Sarasota. Right now when I look at all the radar maps we are in a tornado warning, and it shows a big storm over us, yet we have not had one drop of rain all day yesterday, or this morning, it's barely even windy. Whats up with that?

  1. Thats odd. We had rain all day during school.

  2. Fay is not a hurricaine yet.

I am on the east side of the storm in Daytona.  We are going to get the blunt of it, as the east side is the worst side, and it is going to exit right thru our county.  We also have tornado warnings, it is not windy or raining here yet, but it is coming.

  3. I do not see where there are any tornado warnings anywhere near the Sarasota or Englewood areas at this time.  There are a few tornado warnings in effect for areas generally west of the Palm Beach area.  Now much of southern Florida is under a tornado WATCH, but that is not a warning. A watch simply means conditions are favorable for the formation of tornadoes.  A warning means one has been spotted or sufficient indication of a tornado exists on radar.   You are now on the edge of the rain area associated with Fay, which is moving north northeast at the present time.  Fay never made it to hurricane strength, and will now slowly weaken as it continues moving over land.

  4. It's a tropical storm not a hurricane...
