Hurricane Gustav's projected path?

I know that there are millions of news articles regarding Hurricane Gustav. My question is, they show the projected path from eastern Texas all the way to Florida. Has any weather channel given a closer estimate as to which state will bear the brunt of the hurricane? I do know that weather can change in an instant, but I'm just wondering what is being said as of this hour.

  1. They can't say that for sure yet. The models say New Orleans area.

  2. i dont know but i live in lake charles and i hope it doesnt come here.

  3. no, the models say gulf coast.  it is way to early to narrow it down better than that,  we'll know for sure in 3 days

the media has it pointed at New Orleans because of what happen last time.  this time they won't be able to say they didn't have enough warning,

  4. You can see different computer model projections on the National Hurricane Center's website, but they all show it landing somewhere in the New Orleans area at this point.

There is a special section of Gustav (and Hannah) links on http://www.USAMediaGuide.com.  They have links to the projected path of the storm, local TV and newspaper coverage, the National Hurricane Center, preparation guides and other Gustav-related links.
