Question:

Hurricane Gustav; Does George Bush still "hate black people"?

So, it looks like, thanks to a competent Louisiana Governor (who is a Republican unlike the Democrat Blanco who was in power before), and a FEMA that has learned from the mistakes of Katrina, the evacuations, preparations, and levee repairs in New Orleans have helped make another potential disaster unlikely. So, to all the Bush-haters out there who believed the Katrina disaster was the result of, as Kanye West put it, George Bush hating black people, anyone wish to recant?

  1. At last, someone who understands how the state and federal gov't are related and not brainwashed by the media hype and celebrities that blamed Bush for not doingwhat he wasn;t supposed to be doing.  Gov. Blanco was supposed to take action and implement federal aid.

  2. All I know is that with Katrina, there was an evacuation order. Unfortunately it was not taken seriously and then the tragedy happened.

Unfortunately with rescue operations that take place in the US, there's too much red tape and that's one of the reasons why it took so much time, along with FEMA being headed by a horse trainer. Agencies looking at each other and asking, "Who's the lead? Who's doing what" and so on and so on.

Look at the international aid. Right away we have Military helos out there dropping off supplies, why? Order comes down to which branch has the closest helos to the area.

Hopefully FEMA learned alot from their last error, especially with reports that people are going to stay despite the warnings to evacuate.

On a side note about Katrina. There were at least 2 Navy Helicopter pilots grounded for picking up some people. Their mission was to deliver supplies and only that. Thank goodness their sense of decency and individual thinking kicked in. Also, the helos that were over the city reported having shots fired at them. WTF? was that about.

  3. Recant? They CAN'T recant as that would be acknowledging that they were WRONG and they are constitutionally incapable of behaving in such a manner. After all, that would be taking personal responsibility and that crowd is congenitally unable to engage in that sort of adult behavior.

  4. no, but there are a lot of reasons to do so.
