Didn't the mayor of New Orleans say that this Hurricane is the Mother of all Hurricanes.. Yes it may of Killed people in its path in other countries, But when it hit New Orleans it had no real power right? lets remind Mr Mayor before he tells everybody to Evacuate there homes for no real reason that, Katrina destroyed N.O, Shops were been looted 1k people or so was found dead, Cops were been Shot, Etc etc. Why did they make out this Hurricane was so bad? I can understand them been worried, But seriously... They must've known how hard it would hit, Maybe not exactly but roughly... Whats the reasons for this been overhyped so much?

  1. The mayor was just trying to be cautious he didn't want people to make the same mistake as Katrina

How the F__K are they suppose to accurately predict the hurricane was going to weaken before striking land.Isn't it saver to leave just in case it was a Cat 4.

I can see by your question you have never experienced a hurricane, only seen one on TV huh?.

Oh yeah liverpool sucks, AC Milan rules

  2. I guess better safe than sorry.

  3. If the people had not evacuated, the death toll would have been higher than seven.  It was still a Cat 3 hurricane when it hit.  It was a Cat 4 when it hit Cuba.  Louisiana politicians didn't want to make the same mistake of ignoring a hurricane like they did with Katrina in 2005.

  4. You have poor cause and effect analysis there

The absolute last thing the mayor wants is ANOTHER Katrina situation, so they hype it up to get people moving

Believe it or not but they'd rather everyone be careful and NOT die, but risk evacuating unnecessarily, than not wanting to look foolish and thus letting people die like idiots

As for the hurricane, no, they don't know what it's going to do.  Up until about 6 hours before landfall it was still on track to hit NO dead on as a cat 4, stronger than Katrina.  Just like Rita was going to wreck Galveston and Houston as a CAT FIVE.  OF COURSE you have to evacuate.  Sure, in hindsight it wasn't necessary, but if we could tell the future we'd save all kinds of trouble!
