Hurricane gustav evacuations?

okay i live near the coast of texas. right now we are told to prepare for gustav that is treating louisiana and texas. both states are still the the projected path. however for some reason we have been bombarded with louisiana residents. they are clogging up our roads. our city has enough to prepare for without adding people from another state. why didn't the LA government make them go north? they are in just as much danger here as they were at home.

Many  churches  in Fort Worth  and  Dallas  have  signed up to house persons.  I hope it  doesnt  come to that.  You have to remember they can  only go  as  far  as they can  afford to travel on short notice and  many live pay check to pay check. As  for  bus  evacuations,  more  buses  can help if  not going  long ways.  But  I really dont  know why they don t go north more.

were only sposed to get rain around the coast, 4 to 5 inches, its mainly going to hit Louisiana, its following the same path as 'Katrina'
