  1. National Weather Service, the officially recognized source, (I'd go with the guy from Florida), says June 1st to November 30th.

  2. The Atlantic hurricane season does officially run from June 1st through November 30th, but it is a rare event for one to affect Florida that late in the season.  Typically in November the tropical systems are depressed more to the south, though not always.   You can see by this chart here:

    http://www.aoml.noaa.gov/hrd/tcfaq/E17.h...

that only about 4 1/2 % of tropical systems occurred in November, and that is for the entire Atlantic basin.

  3. Hurricane season officially starts in June and runs into late november.  Though the first and last month can be very slow.

  4. i am a total weather freak it start June first and ends november 30-31. go to website at gogatorsfloridafan.piczo.com and  i have tornado hurricane and weather signs. i will post any hurricane's coming our way. were are u planning on going? and when? i live in Lake City Fl so i am usted to the tornados and hurricanes.

  5. As stated in previous answers hurricane season begins June 1st and ends November 30th.  This does not, however, mean you can't get tropical activity prior to June 1st or after November 30th.  Right now we are in a La Nina and La Nina's do tend to favor above average activity in the Atlantic Ocean.

Have to watch Sea-surface temperatures in the Atlantic, MJO waves and trade winds over the next few months as this should tell us how active of a season we will have.
